libosmgpsmap-dev software package provides GTK+ library to embed OpenStreetMap maps - development files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libosmgpsmap-dev
libosmgpsmap-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libosmgpsmap-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libosmgpsmap-dev *
You will get with libosmgpsmap-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
